Introduction
The aircraft search on the Avinode Marketplace is your starting point for finding the right aircraft for your clients. Knowing how to set up your search well from the start saves time and gets you to the best results faster. This guide walks you through how to run a search, make the most of filters, and troubleshoot when results aren't showing up as expected.
Step 1: Set up your search
To start a new search, navigate to the aircraft search from your main menu.
- Enter your departure and arrival airports in the "From" and "To" fields. The airport shown at the top of the suggestions is the most popular match, but you can scroll to find alternatives.
- Choose whether you want to search by departure time or arrival time. Brokers typically prefer searching by arrival time to make sure the aircraft is available when the client needs it.
- Set your minimum aircraft category. A good way to think about this: what's the least your client would be happy with? The search will show everything at that level and above.
- Click "Search" to see your results.
Step 2: Review your results
Once your results load, you'll see a list of available aircraft matching your criteria. Click on any aircraft to see its full details, including:
- Aircraft — overview and key specifications
- Amenities — what's included on board
- Itinerary — route and timing details
- Seller — information about the operating company
Take a moment to review a few options before jumping to filters. Getting a feel for what's available helps you make smarter use of the filtering tools in the next step.
Step 3: Use filters to narrow down your results
Filters are one of the most powerful tools in your search. You'll find them in the left-hand sidebar after running a search. You don't need to go through every filter available. Focus on what matters most to your client.
Some of the most useful filters include:
- Aircraft type or category — narrow by jet size, range, or specific model
- Takeoff Ready — highlights aircraft available within 96 hours, ideal for last-minute trips
- High Time Crew — filters for aircraft with highly experienced crew
- Responsive Members — shows operators known for quick responses, useful when turnaround time matters
- Paynode Members — operators using Avinode's payment service, enabling fast transactions by credit card, wire transfer, or instant payment
- Wi-Fi — filter by specific connectivity options, including Starlink and Gogo Galileo
Filters update your results in real time, so you can add or remove them as you go.
Step 4: Ready to send your request?
Once you've found the aircraft you want to consider, the next step is sending your request. For tips on how to do that well, see What is the best way to request an aircraft in Avinode?
Troubleshooting: Not seeing any results?
If your search comes back empty, here are a few things to check:
- Broaden your aircraft category — try lowering the minimum category to open up more options.
- Adjust your dates — shifting by a day or two can make a big difference in availability.
- Check your airports — confirm you've selected the right codes, as some airports have similar names.
- Remove filters — if you've applied filters, try clearing them and searching again.
If you've tried all of the above and still aren't seeing results for a specific destination, it's possible the route isn't available due to international compliance requirements. Reach out to us at support@avinode.com and we'll help you figure out what's possible.
