Starting March 1st, 2025, the French government has approved a new tax that will apply to all passenger flights departing from France. This tax will be subjugated by PAX and Leg, no matter the origin of the aircraft AOC country, but by the aircraft category 🛩️.
This needs to be added to your quotes to ensure the cost is covered, so we have implemented the TSBA as a “System-Supported tax.”
What’s the amount?
The tax is determined by the type of aircraft completing the leg and the distance traveled.
Aircraft Category |
French domestic Intra-European flights |
Intermediate Distance | Long Distance |
Turboprop | 210€ | 675€ | 1025€ |
Jet Aircraft | 420€ | 1015€ | 2100€ |
Airliners >20 seats | 7,4€ | 15€ |
40€ |
How do I find it in the system?
The new tax is automatically added to your system as a “System-supported tax,” but you need to add it as a line item to your quotes.
To create a quote, select Add line item and scroll down to find the French Solidarity Tax associated with the aircraft category and the trip distance.
Adding the TSA as a default line item
If you frequently have flights departing from France, setting the taxes as a default option is advisable to save time.
To do this, navigate to the Company> Settings > Pricing tab and scroll down to System Supported Taxes.
Once you find the tax you want to add as a default for your quotes, click the pencil icon ✏️ located on the right side of the tax item. When creating a new quote in Avinode Trip Manager without a Pricing Profile, you can check the box for Use by default on this page.
Please remember to click Save and repeat the process if you’d like to add more taxes as default line items for your quotes.
Supported regions
This tax will be automatically applied to legs departing from mainland France on or after March 1st, 2025. It will not be applied to legs departing from French overseas territories, such as French Guiana, Martinique, Saint Martin, and more.
